Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Welcome to #3D-Step-by-Step-Help

It's been a busy week in the 3D gallery!

Today the new 3D Gallery Bulletinfor March is out, full of news and updates from the community and beyond.

We also have the Daily Deviation Roundup for February, full of some great art.

Finally, there's a new Gallery wide contest, a scavenger hunt in the 3D gallery which should be quite fun! You also have the chance to win some points too

Don't forget you can direct questions and comments to your friendly neighbourhood 3D Gallery community volunteer, `Cymae!

In other news!

There has been a lot of recent discussion and appellations made to split 3D art featuring premade or generated content (Poser, Daz, Evermotion, Vue etc) into a separate sub-category.

This seems to be a hot topic at the moment, so you are all invited to join in the discussion on this journal and vote on this poll.

The topic is monitored and moderated by `Cymae, the 3D Art Community Volunteer, who will then discuss the issue with DeviantArt staff, so if you want your opinion to be considered, join in the discussion!

The best way to make yourself heard is to make logical, polite points. We ask that you kindly refrain from arguments and accusations.

New ZBrush Tutorials Folder

On request of a deviant, I have added a ZBush Tutorial Folder for all you sculptors out there! If you don't know what the program is, I suggest that you check it out.

To join the club and be come a member all you need to do is click the "join this group" in the side panel of the club page and to put the club icon into you Journal or on your profile page, so other people know where they can come to get 3D help!!!

You don't have to be a 3D Artist to join this group! if you do drawn/Photo model/Reference sheets or Textures, you are very welcome in this club!!!

How to become a Contributor

You must have over 2 years of 3D experience, if you do, send me ~jakerobson-tull a note or a Contributor join request, telling what program you use and how many years once you have sent me a note, I will note you back telling you if your a Contributor or not, if you are I will send you an invite and all you need to do is accept it!

How to submit your to the Group

You need to be a member of this group to submit to the group!

Go into the club gallery go into the Folder you want to submit to and at the top there is a button called "submit to this folder" click that or you can go to the top of the club page and it has a button that has your name, icon and club role, you click that and you can submit to the club from there too, and then you need to wait till one of the admin accepts it, and there you go your work is submitted!

Note: If you post stuff in the wrong folder it will be denied or removed from the folder so please read the rules located in the folder!
